As the curve progresses to <strong>20 degrees or beyond<\/strong>, there is a bigger chance that the patient might notice <strong>abnormalities;<\/strong> such as the <strong>body titling to one side<\/strong>.\u00a0The cause of this\u00a0is actually <strong>unknown<\/strong>, and is not due to carrying heavy books or sleeping on the side.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Minimally Invasive Scoliosis Surgery<\/strong> is a type of procedure done to<strong> fix scoliosis <\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>helps to <strong>correct an abnormal curve<\/strong>. During the surgery, a device called the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/spinalnewsinternational.com\/tubular-retractor-a-new-paradigm-in-spinal-surgery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tubular retractor<\/a><\/em> is inserted into the back which lets the surgeon <strong>reach the spine with small tools<\/strong>. The surgeon then\u00a0attaches <strong>rods and screws<\/strong> to the spine to help make it <strong>straighter<\/strong>. This is a new procedure mostly used for children and is not yet available everywhere.
