Just like eye tests could help <a href=\"https:\/\/strammer.com\/en\/eye-test-autism\/\"><strong>diagnose autism<\/strong><\/a>, they can also help detect early signs of <strong>Alzheimer<\/strong>\u2019s, before the <strong>symptoms<\/strong> even occur.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Research at <strong>Washington University of School of Medicine in St. Louis<\/strong> has shown that this early detection will <strong>potentially<\/strong> lead to <strong>non-invasive<\/strong> and <strong>rapid testing<\/strong> for the <strong>condition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Bliss E. O\u2019Bryhim, MD, PhD<\/strong> says; \u201cThis <strong>technique<\/strong> has great potential to become a screening tool that helps decide who should undergo more <strong>expensive<\/strong> and <strong>invasive testing<\/strong> for <strong>Alzheimer\u2019s disease<\/strong> prior to the appearance of<strong> clinical symptoms<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study showed that <strong>researchers<\/strong> who examined the eyes of people who had <strong>died<\/strong> from <strong>Alzheimer\u2019s<\/strong> showed signs of thinning in the<strong> retina<\/strong> and <strong>degradation<\/strong> of the <strong>optic nerve<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although more studies need to be performed to conclude these findings.
