Healthcare organisations have realised this problem and have devised ways of addressing it through innovative solutions supposed to improve the hiring process in the healthcare industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With reference to the Bureau of Labor Statistics in the US, new data announced that from 2016 to 2026, 2.4 million new jobs will be added to the healthcare industry. This is the result of mainly <strong>the ageing population<\/strong> <strong>within physicians<\/strong> which contributes to a greater demand for healthcare services around the world. The average age for health practitioners in the Life Science sector is 55 years old, hence, the need for <strong>future talent is in immediate demand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, the ongoing advancement within the healthcare sector has transformed the way the industry functions, hires and manages its employees making it more <strong>candidate-centric<\/strong>. Companies have also resorted to <strong>recruiting consultancy firms<\/strong> to cope with such advancements and help strategize ways to determine qualified candidates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When hiring into the medical field, it is paramount to be aware of new and essential trends for finding highly qualified professionals. In previous years, there has often been an apparent<strong> mismatch between the growing technological advances and the expertise that workers presently acquire<\/strong>. Due to the ongoing changes in medical innovation, it is estimated that by 2020 approximately 850,000 jobs requiring digital skills will be created worldwide. Henceforth, companies should <strong>reinforce certain soft skills<\/strong> that correspond with such technological changes. For example, such abilities include communication, adaptability and empathy skills. This will enhance workers\u2019 performance and <strong>compliment their hard skills<\/strong>, that is, skills acquired through education and repetition. Companies should also take the initiative to go a step further by <strong>providing regular training programmes<\/strong> to practice such skills.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Building a stronger company brand name<\/strong> would help attract talent as well. A recent survey of 240,000\u00a0students\u00a0from several elite schools\u00a0indicated\u00a0that among a\u00a0list\u00a0of prominent business, only two companies\u00a0from the\u00a0Life Sciences industry were\u00a0chosen\u00a0as a possible suitor.\u00a0Adjusting\u00a0the\u00a0image\u00a0of\u00a0companies\u00a0within the healthcare sector by utilizing current forms of social media platforms\u00a0is\u00a0an effective way to\u00a0break\u00a0stereotype\u00a0ideology.\u00a0It is\u00a0also\u00a0useful\u00a0for\u00a0displaying\u00a0relevant and productive work or\u00a0activities\u00a0that were done.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recruitment firms can\u00a0further\u00a0assist\u00a0companies\u00a0in the healthcare sector with\u00a0<strong>generating\u00a0a reliable talent pool<\/strong> with passive and active candidates.\u00a0Doing so can\u00a0promote\u00a0candidate engagement and\u00a0relationships, which are ideal when it\u00a0comes\u00a0to tackling hard-to-fill positions.\u00a0To add\u00a0further\u00a0to that\u00a0point, there\u00a0is\u00a0the\u00a0possibility\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>recruitment\u00a0outside the medical field<\/strong>.\u00a0For\u00a0example, although the\u00a0advancement\u00a0in robot-assisted surgery is still in its infancy stage, the\u00a0demand\u00a0for such\u00a0technology\u00a0is\u00a0needed.\u00a0This will, in turn, increase the urgency to recruit qualified workforce in the research and development field such as hardware and software developers, electrical engineers and even roboticists.\u00a0For similar reasons, the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine\u00a0(IPEM)\u00a0in the UK, for\u00a0example,\u00a0created\u00a0a\u00a0workforce\u00a0intelligence unit in 2013 to\u00a0collect\u00a0high-quality\u00a0workforce\u00a0data to\u00a0ensure\u00a0precise decision-making when it\u00a0comes\u00a0to\u00a0recruitment, training and staffing inside and outside the medical field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ultimately, in the years to come managers within the medical industry will have to address skills shortages with an effective system for recruiting.
