Paul Soenen   , Executive Coach, Talent management at STRAMMER

Paul Soenen has an impressive 30 years’ experience in the Life Science Industry. He began his career in 1988 with American Cyanamid in an HR management position, before moving to a commercial role in Medical Devices. Over the next coming years, he took on ever expanding sales and marketing management responsibilities, in terms of breadth of portfolio and size of the organizations. From 1998 onwards, he was the General Manager of Tyco Healthcare Belgium. Since 2006 he has taken on European roles (in Covidien) with P&L responsibility across different countries and portfolios in Europe (including the big 5). In his most recent role he was a Business Unit Director France and Benelux for Respiratory & Monitoring Solutions (part of Medtronic/Minimal Invasive Therapy Group).

As President and Chairman of BeMedTech (The Belgian federation of Medical technology providers who represent over 200-member companies), Paul focused with the team on developing a clear strategy for the future. By increasing the federations’ relevance as a solution driven partner to all healthcare stakeholders and underlining the industry’s contribution to sustainable healthcare.
